I pretty much spent all afternoon writing my paper on a "real beaut." Then I went to the church and gave a few lessons. However, a couple cancelled, so I had some extra time on my hands...so I cleaned up around the stage area. So I did a little researching online today and found out that you can buy just caps for your jumpdrive. How exciting! For those who don't know, I lost mine on Sunday at the church. The last time I remember seeing it was when Josh was playing with my keys in the atrium...then the next thing I knew it was gone when I got upstairs. I literally looked everywhere.
So at church today I saw the printed out bulletins for next sunday, so I stopped and looked at the attendence. There were 3,935 people! Holy crap! that's amost 4,000!! Just to think that there were that many people there was amazing! That's nearly 1,500 more than any other given Sunday at RiverTree....so that's 1,500 more that heard the good news! Man, I'm sad that there are "holiday christians" but at the same time I'm estatic because so many people were there that heard. Greg's sermon was really good to...he "brought the thunder." haha. I know the Holy Spirit was working...I just hope that people are going to be acting on their convictions. I tried to sneak in on Saturday night to see the service and ended up sitting on the floor because it was so crowded. By the way...on monday (only 1 day after the easter service) I went to Panera to get some lunch. The one up on the Strip has some comfy chairs and then some tables next to them. I was sitting at a nearby table when I saw someone in the comfy chair pull out one of the those cards the church handed out and start talking to the girl next to him. I couldn't believe it....it was only the next day and I had already seen some of the cards begin to circulate! Well, I'd better get going...I've got some stuff still to finish and I have to get up somewhat early for my 9:30 class tomorrow morning...plus JR comes home tomorrow! Yay!
